TAE competes in Sand in the City and wins ROOKIE OF THE YEAR award.

On our first try at carving a sand sculpture for the Hands On Children's Museum event at the Port  Plaza, August 22-24 we earned the Rookie Of The Year Award.     "It was a lot more work than I expected, but not as difficult as I thought it would be" said  TAE team leader Russ Gilsdorf.

We all took part in the concept of the design, but Angelina and the  architectural team members Craig, Todd and Elizabeth at Ambia Architecture deserve most of the credit for the sculptures finished design.

The start of the competition was at 9:30am and teams had until 3:30pm to finish.   There were 15 teams this year, more any other year.

The team had a great time and has already signed up to do it again next year, with some experience under our belt, there is no telling what we will do next year.
